We are a Scottish-based charity, established in 2000 that believes passionately in the power of education and that develops initiatives and provides funds for educational purposes.

Since 2000, we have run a charity called Acorn Charitable Trust that helps people to follow their dreams of furthering their education. Moira and Gordon, in particular, benefited from free further-education in the 1970s, and even received grants to help with living costs. How things have changed!

​

In order to express our thanks for that wonderful gift, we provide grants where the only "repayment" we hope for is that our beneficiaries may be able to help others in due course - the idea of "paying it forward".
